PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2012 - Ashima Leena

Their designs stole my heart at last year's 2011 Delhi Couture Week (see here) and they didn't fail to do it again this year. Gorgeous pieces that are fit for a Queen. The collection had had a  traditional colour palette of metallic golds, silvers, whites, creams and slowly moving into rich tones of red, blues, oranges, and my absolute favourite, blush pink splashed onto gorgeous lush fabrics.

Comprised mostly of lenghas, shararas, anarkalis, saris (oh my..), jewel encrusted corsets worn with full length skirts, saris, this collection had it all! Loved the belted saris and the cuts and angles of the anarkalis.

The collection is perfect for the Desi Bride looking for a magestic look on her special day. As per Ashima Singh, "It was a deliberate attempt to begin the show with soft whites and gradually move on to lighter colours and darker shades in the end. The collection is not catering to just one mood of the bride-to-be, the aim on the contrary is to manifest every emotion through all hues in a rainbow," adds Ashima Singh.
