Desi Bride: Wills Indian Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2012

S&N Drape by Shantanu and Nikhil didn't leave me wanting more but, I loved a few elements from this collection. Number one that teal blue colour is gorgeous and the cutout patterns on the skirts and the bodices of the dresses are so beautiful. The teal dress with the draping down the front and the longer sleeves is really nice and so is the LBD (little black dress) is so cute! I love the see through neckline. I'm a sucker for the old hollywood glam, vintage look. Hot trend for this fall is the teal, orange, and lots of chunky jewelery!

Preeta Chandra's collection had one piece that really stuck out for me. It would be perfect for an engagement shoot or on a get away to the islands. The gorgeous orange mixed with that pinky coral is so perfect together! The aline neckline adds that little bit of edge and the belt pulls it all together. Pretty!

Vineet Bal's designs were reminiscent of the 60's with psychedelic prints and polka dots. Loved the mix of the print together and the exaggerated shoulders, puffy sleeves and the turtlenecks. The colours were kept very neutral switching from black, to grey to beige and little pops of colour here and there. A very somber collection. I can totally see a funky artist rocking these designs!

I adore the tones of green in the collection by Anand Kabra.  The forest green / emerald lengha is beautiful. I love the choli with the high neckline. On the right silhouette this would look amazing! The focus is all on the clothes. There are no accessories at all on these models. Just slick back hair and simple makeup.

Love the mix of sunshine yellow and emerald green by Anupamaa by Anupam Daya. Not too much Bridal wear or Trousseau options but, the patterns and colours are really nice in this collection. My favourite piece has to be the flower motif wrap/shawl.

James Ferrera's collection had the right colours in the right places. Loved the below the knee wrap dresses. Very flattering on any many types of figures. I would love this print in a sari!

Anju Modi's collection consisted of more black, white, blue and red. The designs were not heavily embroidered unlike her collection at Delhi Couture Week see here! The collection comprised of simple, elegant anarkalis, jackets, tunics, pants and lenghas! Loved the models hair and makeup. So simple and pretty!
