Fashion, makeup and more goodness at A Lavish Affiar

Lavish Dulhan launched their latest Summer/Fall 2012 magazine in complete style at theFermenting Cellar in Toronto's Distillery District. The night was full of champagne, hor d'ourves and of course a fashion show that showcased the latest styles in the Desi Fashion scene by two of Toronto's hottest fashion houses: Bombay Trendz and Frontier Heritage. This was the team at Lavish Dulhan's version of what a Bridal show should be like. A night full of cocktails, fashion and fun!

I spoke with Rohit Sharma, Editor-In-Chief & Founder of Lavish Dulhan about the amazing response the event received. Despite that the gloomy weather, there was a great turnout. The fashion show was amazing and even though there were only two fashion houses that were represented, it was just enough to get these Desi Brides imagining themselves walking down the aisle or into their reception in any of the creations. Rohit also commented that it was a really relaxed and chilled environment. At a typical wedding show, Brides usually come with their families, even their in-laws to be and don't really get a chance to be themselves. At this event, Brides were more relaxed and were really enjoying the night.

I wasn't able to personally attend A Lavish Affair but I am in awe of the makeup by Beauty Concept Shirley Wu and many of the outfits from Bombay Trendz and Frontier Heritage. I loved the makeup so much that I contacted Shirley and asked where I can grab the bright pink lipstick and coral lipstick because I need them! The pink colour is called Magenta and the coral one is Red Coral from Motives by Loren Ridginder. Check it out here!

I love this colour!! It's called Magenta by Motives Cosmetics

The perfect coral for the summer! Love this too! It's Red Coral by Motives Cosmetics

The choice of outfits were gorgeous as well. There were so many gorgeous designs but I loved the multi coloured lengha from Bombay Trendz. I just can't get over how gorgeous the magenta and the saffron looked together with hints of red and purple. Colours that I wouldn't pair together but in this case it looks really good. Totally on trend with the the long sleeved choli with the gorgeous embroidery on the neckline. You wouldn't even need a necklace. Just a stunning pair of earrings and you're ready to go!This had to be my favourite piece. A close second was the net mint sari with the navy blue velvet pallu from Frontier Heritage! That was so different and the tiny detailing on the net with the beautiful embroidery on the pallu was perfect. There were outfits for every occasion in an array of colours and styles that will appeal to everyone. Enjoy lovelies!

Gorgeous shot of the outfits. Beautiful colours and embroidery.

The bottom of my favourite outfit from Bombay Trendz.

My favourite!! Gorgeous colours and the sweetheart neckline with the embroidery is perfect!

The back is nice too! Love the hairstyle. Edgy and feminine at the same time.

Beautiful sari from Frontier Heritage. Love, love, love the velvet pallu!
